Queensland Driving Academy offers a variety of courses and training for motorbikes lessons.
We can start off with learner drivers who have never ridden a motorbike before right through to the multi-skilled stunt riders. We are flexible with our lessons and even allow you to use your own motorbike or on our motorbikes depending on your situation. We can cater for small CBR125 right up to a Triumph Tiger 1050cc motorcycles. We have RE and R bikes available for you to train on.
We believe in being proactive instead of being reactive to enable you to read the road far enough in advance to be in a situation where when something goes wrong you are able to get yourself safely out of the situation.
Well over 90% of accidents are avoidable if we have the skills to read the road well enough in advance. Much like a truck driver, the difference being on a motorbike your life will depend on it. Motorbike lessons can be completed at any time during the day of the week and including weekends.

Q-Ride – L to RE
To start your motorcycle licence process you will first need to obtain your Learners. Once you have that we can help teach you all the necessary riding skills and regulations so that you can pass your RE licence. Our lessons not only focus on the basics but we ensure that when you learn with us you gain all more knowledge and experience in order to be able to ride at your best ability.
Please keep in mind that the RE is a restricted license so that you can only ride on certain types of motorbikes. For more information about this please give us a call and we can put your mind at ease. Alternatively you can check out our FAQ section for the answers to your questions.
Q-Ride – RE to R
You must have held your RE licence for at least 12 months, you will need proof of this which is obtained by completing “Driver Record Information Application” form F2121 and indicating you need Driver Licence history information under section 3. The cost of this is $25 but for new clients of our Q-Ride course we will include this as part of the course.

Once you have your Q-Ride certificate (competency declaration) you can apply for a class RE provisional or open licence. To apply you need to:
- choose your training and assessment provider to complete the course or practical riding test. We recommend choosing us as we are an approved Q-Ride provider and we have over 25 years of training experience.
- pay the course fee
- take your current licence and Q-Ride certificate to a transport and motoring customer service centre to upgrade your motorcycle licence.
